Six of the Island’s leading bands to perform across four outdoor venues
The sounds of brass will once again fill the air in Upper Laxey as The Great Laxey Brass Band Festival returns today (4 May).
It all gets underway at 1pm, with six of the Island’s leading bands performing in rotation across four outdoor venues - The Mines Tavern, Glen Gardens Pavilion, The Queen’s Hotel, and the Village Square.
The eighth iteration of the festival also has children’s entertainers and bouncy castles on the agenda to get the whole family involved.
Clerk to Garff Commissioners and event organiser, Martin Royle, says it continues to go from strength to strength:
Plans submitted for temporary base for Douglas RNLI
