Mountain Road reopens at midday after extended closure

Department of Infrastructure confirms one-way system will remain in place from Ramsey to the Creg Ny Baa 

Update 12.00pm: The Mountain Road has reopened as planned.

The A18 Mountain Road remains closed between Ramsey and the Creg Ny Baa this morning. (25 May)

It’s now expected to reopen at 12-noon, after overnight works at Brandywell needed extra time to cure.

The Department of Infrastructure extended the closure by 24 hours to complete carriageway repairs.

Once open, the road will operate one-way from Ramsey towards Douglas as far as the Creg.
