Volunteers praised for their role in inclusive weekly meals at the cathedral
The Dean of Peel Cathedral has paid tribute to the volunteers behind The Big Table initiative.
The Very Reverend Nigel Godfrey said their ongoing commitment ensures the success of the weekly shared lunch, which offers a warm welcome to all, regardless of means.
He describes the volunteers as central to the project’s impact and praised their quiet dedication to serving the community.
Dean Godfrey was awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours for his service to the cathedral and wider community.
