The warm weather could increase the chances of an incident happening
With the hot temperatures predicted for today (Saturday 12 July), the fire service is warning there's a high risk of wildfires across the Island.
It could reach 27 degrees Celsius in some parts, according to Ronaldsway Met Office.
Isle of Man Fire and Rescue has the following advice:
- Don’t light campfires or bonfires
- Never discard cigarettes on the ground
- If using a BBQ, keep it off the grass and never leave it unattended
- Take all rubbish with you – glass and litter can spark fires
- Use What3Words to report the location
If you see a fire in the open, call 999 immediately.
