Police say the Curragh Road in St. Johns has now fully re-opened.
It follows a single vehicle road traffic collision this morning involving a heavy goods vehicle.
The driver escaped serious injury but was given a precautionary check at the scene by ambulance paramedics.
The road was closed for around six hours while fire crews from Douglas and Peel along with police and Manx Utilities personnel cleared the area and made it safe.
