Officers issue update as investigations to carry on until late evening
Police have closed a section of the Old Castletown Road from Bridge Road up to Kewaigue Hill following a road traffic collision.
The route is expected to remain shut until around 11pm tonight (16 September) to allow investigations to be carried out.
Motorists are asked to please plan your journeys appropriately and take another route home where possible.
Anyone who lives within the closure area is asked to approach officers who will be stationed at each end of the road closure.
Officers say they will open the road prior to 11pm if they're able to.
UPDATE AT 11.40PM: Police have confirmed the road has now reopened.
