Minister says staffing facility would require extra spending on agency staff
Ramsey's Minor Injuries Unit is to stay closed at the weekends until further notice due to costs.
Health Minister Claire Christian says reopening the facility would require agency staff, resulting in extra costs and a potential overspend.
The facility has closed on Saturdays and Sundays since July last year, with the minister confirming a further decision about weekend closures will be made by the end of January next year.
The unit's long-term future will be decided as part of the Urgent and Emergency Integrated Care programme.
