Alan and Ellie Clague of Ballalaa Farm commended for supporting wildlife and sustainable food production
One of local farming's top awards - the annual Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group Bronze Chough Trophy - has been won by Alan and Ellie Clague, who run the 420 acre Ballalaa Farm in Dalby.
The trophy is awarded for excellence in support of wildlife alongside sustainable food production.
Past winners of the award were invited as judges to visit the nominated farms, and included Robbie and David Cooil, who went on to win the coveted Silver Lapwing Award competing against some of the best farms in the UK.
Alan and Ellie told Manx Radio's Countryside presenter Simon Clarke they were surprised and delighted to win the award.
