Castletown Golf Links has been shut since 2007
Demolition work at the former Castletown Golf Links Hotel is due to get underway today. (Monday 2 February)
The Department of Infrastructure says Fort Island Road will be closed along its full length until 6pm on 2 March.
The site was sold last year by Dandara to Manx BirdLife and Langness Golf Course Limited.
The former hotel lies within a bird sanctuary on Langness and is surrounded by an Area of Special Scientific Interest.
Closed since 2007, the building has fallen into disrepair after redevelopment proposals failed to be progressed.
