Section of Old Castletown Road partially reopens
One-way traffic is due to be reinstated this morning along a section of the Old Castletown Road which has been closed since early last week.
Manx Utilities has announced that restrictions will be partially lifted from 7am, to allow traffic heading towards Douglas to pass the closure point at the White Hoe Industrial Estate.
The work taking place on a wastewater main there has been blamed for increased congestion in the capital, particularly around rush hour times.
But MUA Chair John Wannenburgh says the work absolutely had to be done:
Work underway to remove asbestos from former Golf Links Hotel
Police raise welfare concerns about vehicle occupant
New EV charging points planned for Island's ports
Campaigners against offshore windfarm proposals hit out at 'undemocratic' process
