Follows report into Manxman grounding earlier this year
The political member for the Department of Infrastructure says every effort will be taken to avoid another ship running aground in Douglas Harbour.
It follows the publication of a report into why the Steam Packet's flagship Manxman ran aground on a "hump" of sediment near the King Edward VIII Pier in March.

It highlighted issues with communication and management within the Harbours Division, as well as no regular process for maintenance dredging or capital dredging.
The DOI says lessons have been identified, but Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper says he can't guarantee the issue won't ever occur again:
